Viola douglasii. {++} DOUGLAS' VIOLET. GOLDEN VIOLET. Perennial. Bl Feb-May. Common on grassy slopes and flats, especially on eastern side of park. Pine Ridge NW of Blue Oak Horse Camp, Middle Ridge N of Frog Lake, Rock House Ridge, Little Long Cyn, Miller Field, Mahoney Ridge (rd E of Lost Spring, S end), Upper San Antonio Valley, NE slopes of Rooster Comb, Hartman Ck, S Fk Orestimba Ck, Mustang Flat.


Viola ocellata. {++} WESTERN HEART'S EASE. TWO-EYED VIOLET. Perennial. Bl Apr-May. Shaded, rocky and grassy banks. Uncommon. Middle Fk Coyote Ck, Coyote Ck E of Coit Camp.


Viola pedunculata. {++} YELLOW PANSY. JOHNNY-JUMP-UP. CALIFORNIA GOLDEN VIOLET. WILD PANSY. Perennial. Bl Feb-May. Common on grassy slopes and ridges, more common on W side of park. On E side noted only from along Orestimba Ck Tr and at Orestimba Corral.


Viola purpurea ssp. quercetorum {+} (=Viola quercetorum). OAK VIOLET. MOUNTAIN VIOLET. Perennial. Bl Feb-May. Open woods, grassy woodland edges. Fairly common. Pine Ridge, Little Fk Coyote Ck, Middle Ridge, Middle Fk Coyote Ck, Blue Ridge, Divide Ridge, Grizzly Ck, Mahoney Ridge, Kelly Cabin Cyn, E Fk Coyote Ck, rd up Bear Mtn from W, Upper San Antonio Valley, Red Ck, Robinson Ck, pond near Snod Pk, Hartman Ck.
