Galium andrewsii. {++} PHLOX-LEAVED BEDSTRAW. Perennial. Bl Apr-Jun. Common on dry slopes and flats throughout.


*? Galium aparine. {++} CLEAVERS. GOOSE-GRASS. BEDSTRAW. Annual. Bl Mar-May. Common in shaded areas throughout. Native of Europe and possibly introduced in the US, but possibly native.


Galium californicum. {++} CALIFORNIA BEDSTRAW. Perennial. Bl May-Jun. Open woods. Uncommon. Pine Ridge (Monument Tr, Eric's Bench area, Corral Tr, Forest Tr, Springs Tr), Little Fk Coyote Ck near Frog Lake, Fish Tr, Skeels' Meadow.


*Galium parisiense. {+} WALL BEDSTRAW. WALL GALIUM. Annual. Bl Mar-May. Disturbed areas in grasslands and along cks. Frog Lake, Middle Fk Coyote Ck (Thomas Addition), E Fk Coyote Ck, Coit Lake, Board Spring, Red Ck, Paradise Lake, S Fk Orestimba Ck, Mustang Flat, N Fk Pacheco Ck. Native of Europe.


Galium porrigens {+} (=Galium nuttallii var. ovalifolium). CLIMBING BEDSTRAW. NUTTALL BEDSTRAW. Perennial with a woody base. Bl Mar-May. Dry slopes. Fairly common throughout.


*Sherardia arvensis. {++} FIELD MADDER. BLUE FIELD MADDER. Annual. Bl Mar-May & possibly longer. Open grassland, disturbed areas. Pine Ridge, China Hole area, Mahoney Meadows. Native of Mediterranean region.
