Chorizanthe membranacea. {+} PINK CHORIZANTHE. PINK SPINEFLOWER. CLUSTERED SPINEFLOWER. Annual. Bl Apr-May. Dry rocky slopes. Pine Ridge (Live Oak Tr, Corral Tr); west slope of Blue Ridge (the Short Cut); Wagon Rd between junctions Wasno Rd and Center Flats Rd.


*Eriogonum fasciculatum var. foliolosum. {++} CALIFORNIA BUCKWHEAT. Shrub. Bl Jul-Sep & probably longer. Known only from along the S end of the Kaiser-Aetna Rd near Bell Station, where it was obviously planted for erosion control. Native to the E side of the Mt Hamilton Range, but not known to be native to Coe Park.


Eriogonum gracile. {+} SLENDER WOOLLY ERIOGONUM. Annual. Bl Jun-Oct. Dry sunny places. Pine Ridge (Monument Tr), Blue Ridge (E of Jackass Pk), Bear Mtn Rd between E Fk & summit, SE of Coit Lake, Mississippi Ck N of lake, Mississippi Ridge, Red Ck side cyn, extreme N edge Orestimba Wilderness.


Eriogonum luteolum var. luteolum.  {+}  Bl June.  Redfern Addition.


Eriogonum nudum. {++} TIBINAGUA. NAKED-STEMMED ERIOGONUM. NAKED ERIOGONUM. Perennial. Bl Jun-Dec. Common in dry areas throughout. There may be more than one ssp present.


Eriogonum roseum. {++} ROSY ERIOGONUM. Annual. Bl Aug-Sep. Dry rocky, sandy or gravelly places. Poverty Flat, E Fk Coyote Ck, Hoover Lake, S Fk Orestimba Ck.


Eriogonum vimineum. {++} WICKER ERIOGONUM. WICKER-STEMMED ERIOGONUM. Annual. Bl Jun-Sep. Dry rocky and sandy places. Divide Ridge; Roller Coaster Ridge.


Eriogonum wrightii. {++} WRIGHT'S ERIOGONUM. WRIGHT-BUCKWHEAT. Perennial. Bl Jul-Dec. Rocky and gravelly places. Common, especially in eastern b of park.


*Polygonum arenastrum. {+} COMMON KNOTWEED. PROSTRATE KNOTWEED. KNOTGRASS. DOORWEED. Annual. Bl Aug & probably longer. Roadsides, disturbed areas. Pine Ridge (Coe HQ, Arnold Field, Bass Pond), Coyote Ck gate, Kelly Cabin Cyn, between Coit Lake and Fish & Game Pond, Kaiser-Aetna Rd, Dowdy Ranch, Hunting Hollow parking area. Native of Eurasia.


Polygonum lapathifolium. {++} WILLOW-WEED. Annual. Bl Aug-Sep. Moist places, along lakes and ponds. Coit Lake, Jackrabbit Lake.


Polygonum punctatum. {++} WATER SMARTWEED. Perennial. Bl Aug-Oct. Moist places along lakes and ponds. Marshy area below Hoover Lake, Kelly Lake, Coit Lake, Mississippi Lake, Raven Pond, Wasno Pond.


Pterostegia drymarioides. {++} BOTANIST'S FRIEND. Annual. Bl Mar-Apr. Fairly common on shady banks and among boulders throughout.


*Rumex acetosella. {++} SHEEP SORREL. Perennial. Bl Apr-May. Relatively damp and cooler places, usually in disturbed soils. Madrone Soda Springs, Pine Ridge (HQ campground, Monument Tr, Arnold Field, Fish Tr), Kelly Lake, Orestimba Corral. Native of Eurasia.


*Rumex crispus. {+} CURLY DOCK. YELLOW DOCK. Perennial. Low or moist places. Pine Ridge (Corral Tr, Springs Tr), E Fk Coyote Ck, Grapevine Spring, Mississippi Lake, Mississippi Ck, side cyn of Red Ck ca 1 mi NE of Bear Mtn, Robinson Ck, Paradise Lake, Hartman Ck, Orestimba Corral, S Fk Orestimba Ck, Mustang Flat watershed, N Fk Pacheco Ck, Kaiser-Aetna Rd, Coyote Creek gate area, westernmost Fk of Coon Ck, Hunting Hollow.  Native of Eurasia.


*Rumex obtusifolius. {+} BITTER DOCK. Perennial. Bl Apr-May.  Moist places. Live Oak Tr; probably this sp along Kaiser-Aetna Rd. Native of Europe.


Rumex salicifolius. {+} WILLOW DOCK. Perennial. Bl Apr-Jul. Along creeks and in creek beds. Fairly common throughout.
