Broomrape

A member of the Orobanchaceae, or Broomrape Family


Habit.

This individual does not fit well the descriptions published in
Hickman, The Jepson Manual, at all, but appears to be
closest to Orobanche californica.

In a chaparral clearing in association with Arctostaphylos glandulosa and
Adenostoma fasciculatum.  Along Willow Ridge Road on the north end of
Willow Ridge.
