Epipactis gigantea. {++} STREAM ORCHID. GIANT HELLEBORINE. Perennial. Bl Apr-Jul. Moist banks. Uncommon. Small colony by a spring in the Narrows, one along Robinson Ck below the falls, sizeable colony by spring N of Robinson Ck and W of Pinto Ck.





Piperia elegans {+} (=Habenaria elegans). ELEGANT HABENARIA. ELEGANT PIPERIA. SLENDER HABENARIA. Perennial. Bl May-Jul. Dry woods. Pine Ridge (rd to Little Fk Coyote Ck from Monument), Middle Ridge (Fish Tr), Blue Ridge (N end, Jackass Tr), Willow Ridge NE of backpack camp.


Piperia unalascensis {+} (=Habenaria unalascensis). ALASKA PIPERIA. ALASKA ORCHID. ALASKA HABENARIA. Perennial. Bl Apr-Jun. Dry to moist soil, flats and slopes. Forest Trail; near Poverty Flat; NE corner of park near boundary gate.


Spiranthes porrifolia {?} (=Spiranthes romanzoffiana var. porrifolia). WESTERN LADIES' TRESSES. Perennial. Bl late May-Jul. Wet springy places. Middle Fk Coyote Ck, Coyote Ck (near China Hole), E Fk Coyote Ck, N Fk Pacheco Ck N of Dowdy Ranch. Spiranthes definitely occurs in the park; the question is which species. It may be this one, but could be Spiranthes romanzoffiana, or even both.
