Forestiera pubescens {++} (=Forestiera neomexicana). DESERT OLIVE. ADELIA. Shrub. Deciduous. Bl Mar-Apr. Small colonies in Hartman Creek and Cañada de la Dormida.
Fraxinus dipetala. {++} FLOWERING ASH. FOOTHILL ASH. TWO-PETAL ASH. MOUNTAIN ASH. CALIFORNIA FLOWERING ASH. Tree or treelike shrub. Deciduous. Bl "Apr-May". Common on dry shady slopes through much of the park. Soda Springs Cyn, Coyote Ck (China Hole), E Fk Coyote Ck (the Narrows), Little Long Cyn, Kelly Cabin Cyn, Mississippi Ck, Mississippi Ridge, Red Ck, Pinto Ck, Robinson Ck, Robinson Mtn, Rooster Comb, Hartman Ck, S Fk Orestimba Ck, N Fk Pacheco Ck near Hole-in-the-Rock, Long Ridge, Mustang Pk, westernmost fk Coon Ck, in canyon off of Vasquez Rd near Cañada de la Dormida.
*Olea europaea. {++} COMMON OLIVE. Tree. Bl May-Jun. Planted at Coe HQ, on flat near mouth of Grizzly Gulch, and at Dowdy Ranch. Native of the E Mediterranean region and W Asia.
*Syringa sp. {+} LILAC. Shrub. Deciduous. Bl May. Madrone Soda Springs at mouth of Sycamore Cyn. Planted, or possibly a descendent of planted shrubs. The hotel at Madrone Soda Springs was torn down ca 1948; if the small Syringa in this area are survivors from then, they are over 40 years old. Probably a sp native of Eurasia.
