Juncus balticus. {+} BALTIC RUSH. WIRE RUSH. Perennial. Bl "May-Aug". Moist places, or places which retain excess moisture during the rainy season (such as seeps in clay soils) but which may be rather dry in summer. Probably common throughout. Soda Springs Cyn, Pine Ridge (Springs Tr, Arnold Field, Bass Pond, Manzanita Pt), Thomas Addition, Rock House Cyn, Mahoney Meadows, Caviata Spring, Mississippi Ck, westernmost fk of Coon Ck, Tule Pond.

Juncus bufonius. {++} TOAD RUSH. Annual. Bl "Apr-Sep". Moist, especially open places, dry pools, etc. Road to Frog Lake, Springs Trail, Bass Pond, Thomas Addition, Wagon Road near Rodeo Pond.


Juncus effusus. {+} SOFT RUSH. BOG RUSH. COMMON RUSH. Perennial.  Bl "Jun-Aug".  Moist to wet places.


Juncus xiphioides. {+} IRIS-LEAVED RUSH.  IRIS RUSH.  Perennial.  Bl "May-Oct".  Wet places.  E Fk Coyote Ck near Los Cruzeros, Coit Lake, Red Ck, S Fk Orestimba Ck N of Rooster Comb Ranch boundary, N Fk Pacheco Ck near Hole-in-the-Rock, westernmost fk of Coon Ck, Vasquez Tr at creek bed north of confluence with Cañada de la Dormida.


Luzula comosa {++} (=Luzula subsessilis). COMMON WOOD RUSH. Perennial. Bl Mar-May. Uncommon to fairly common on grassy and wooded slopes. Pine Ridge (Springs Tr, Manzanita Pt), Fish Tr, Middle Ridge, Blue Ridge, E Fk Coyote Ck W of base of rd up Bear Mtn.
