*?Juglans hindsii. {++} HINDS WALNUT. Tree. Deciduous. Hunting Hollow near the windmill. Large trees native to California and sometimes associated with Indian encampments. The origin of these large trees, which are self-sowing in the area, is unknown.


*Juglans nigra. {+} BLACK WALNUT.  Tree. Deciduous. Dowdy Ranch, Willson Ranch, Coyote Creek gate, where planted (two apparently self-sown saplings seen at the latter site). Some of these could be J. hindsii. Native of the eastern and central US.
