Arbutus menziesii. {++} MADRONE. MADROÑO. PACIFIC MADRONE. Tree. Bl Mar-May. Common on wooded slopes and canyons on west side of the park. Coyote Ck cyn, Soda Springs Cyn, Pine Ridge (Flat Frog Tr, Forest Tr, Manzanita Pt), Little Fk Coyote Ck, Middle Ridge, Middle Fk Coyote Ck, Blue Ridge, Thomas Addition (Divide Ridge), N end of Mahoney Ridge, Kelly Cabin Cyn.


Arctostaphylos glandulosa. {++} EASTWOOD MANZANITA. Shrub. Bl Feb-Mar. Dry slopes and ridges. Fairly common on W side of park, especially at higher elevations; uncommon elsewhere. E end of Pine Ridge (China Hole Tr), Blue Ridge, Bollinger Ridge, Divide Ridge, Grizzly Ck, N end of Mahoney Ridge, ridge to NE of Eagle Pines, side ridge ¾-1 mi S of Pacheco Falls, northernmost boundary area (N end Orestimba Wilderness).


Arctostaphylos glauca. {++} BIGBERRY MANZANITA. GREAT-BERRIED MANZANITA. Shrub or tree. Bl late Nov-Mar. Common on dry slopes throughout, except on Redfern Addition south of Willson Ranch (where apparently absent). Grows largest in shady mixed-oak woodlands.


Arctostaphylos manzanita. {++} COMMON MANZANITA. PARRY MANZANITA. Shrub. Bl Jan-Feb. Known definitely from one plant at N end of Blue Ridge; others in same vicinity (but on NE-facing slopes) also appear to be this sp, or hybrids between this and Arctostaphylos glauca.
