East Dunne Avenue
Some views outside the park along the road up to Coe Headquarters from Morgan Hill.

For decades, this was the only access road, but is now one of two main entrance
roads---the other being Gilroy Hot Springs Road---
with a third in the works (Kaiser-Aetna Road from Bell Station).

Lake Anderson (a.k.a. Anderson Reservoir) from East Dunne Avenue (outside Coe Park).
This is the largest reservoir in Santa Clara County, and is a major source
of water for area residents.  The County of Santa Clara manages recreational
facilities alongside the lake, including a picnic area along Dunne.

The Thomas Ranch, about two and a half miles before
the Coe Park boundary.

30 April 1978.

The Thomas family, which owns the ranch, have deep
roots in the area.  Preston Thomas was a friend of the park's
namesake, Henry W. Coe, Jr.   The Thomas Addition, the
park property north of Mt. Sizer connected at only one corner,
was purchased from the Thomas family.

View west from East Dunne Avenue about a mile west of the park.

Loma Prieta is in the Santa Cruz Mountains which form the other side of
Santa Clara "Silicon" Valley.
