Eagle Pines is topped by gray pines (Pinus sabiniana) and covered
with chamise (Adenostoma fasciculatum).

Roller Coaster Ridge.
Willow Ridge Road follows the steep up and down exposed crest of this ridge,
one of the reasons the hike to Mississippi Lake is so difficult.
Willow Ridge is at left background; the prominent pointed summit at right tufted with pines
is Eagle Pines, which is a portion of Willow Ridge.
