*Cistus creticus {+} (=Cistus villosus). ROCK-ROSE. Shrub. Bl Apr & probably longer. Roadside. One noted along Kaiser-Aetna Rd near Dowdy Ranch. Native of s Europe.
Helianthemum scoparium {++} (=Helianthemum scoparium var. vulgare). RUSH-ROSE. BROOM-ROSE. Subshrub. Deciduous. Bl Apr-Dec. Common in chaparral along China Hole Trail after Fall 1993 prescribed burn, mostly below Cougar Trail junction (this sp not seen in area at all before burn). Fairly common on dry ridges and slopes of W and C portion of park: E side of Blue Ridge, Willow Ridge, Bear Mtn Road, Roller Coaster Ridge and Pacheco Ridge.
