*Atriplex lentiformis. {??} QUAIL BRUSH. Shrub. Apparently planted along Kaiser-Aetna Road at the Pacheco Ck crossing. If the 2 or 3 specimens of Atriplex there belong to this species, they are native to the San Joaquin and adjacent interior valleys and much of the arid southwest US.
*Atriplex sp. {+} SALTBUSH. Shrub. Different species, also apparently planted along Kaiser-Aetna Rd. One individual. Could be an Australian sp, could be native to other parts of California, but not native to Coe Park.
*Chenopodium album. {?} PIGWEED. Annual. Bl Aug-Sep & probably longer. Disturbed areas. Along Mississippi Lake. Native of Europe.
Chenopodium californicum. {++} CALIFORNIA GOOSEFOOT. SOAP PLANT. Perennial. Bl Mar-May. Dryish slopes and flats. Fairly common throughout, e.g. Madrone Soda Springs, rd E of Poverty Flat, N end Blue Ridge near park boundary, among chaparral S end Mahoney Ridge, N Fk Pacheco Ck, Robinson Ck valley, Hartman Ck, S Fk Orestimba Ck S & NE of Rooster Comb, mouth of Mustang Flat drainage, Dowdy Ranch, Coon Ck watershed.
*Chenopodium murale. {?} NETTLE-LEAVED GOOSEFOOT. SOWBANE. Annual. Bl "most of year, especially spring". Coe HQ. Native of Europe.
Chenopodium pratericola {?} (=Chenopodium dessicatum var. leptophylloides). DESICCATED GOOSEFOOT. Annual. Bl "Jun-Sep". Dry places. S Fk Orestimba Ck E of Robinson Mtn.
*Salsola tragus {++} (=Salsola pestifer. Salsola kali var. tenuifolia). RUSSIAN-THISTLE. Annual. Bl Jul-Nov. Becomes a tumbleweed when dry. Fields and roadsides. Fairly common along Kaiser-Aetna Rd mostly S of Pacheco Ck crossing, and apparently spreading deeper into park. [Also occurs along Dunne Avenue just outside of park boundary]. Native of Eurasia.
